How to deal with the problem of insufficient glue in the production of silicone products

July 25th at 3:20pm

The phenomenon of missing glue is common in the production of silicone products, resulting in countless products experiencing material shortages. As this is a post-processing issue unrelated to molds and raw materials, it is usually caused by human factors. There are various reasons for the lack of glue, and the key lies in the manufacturer's attention to detail control during production and processing. Therefore, exploring processing techniques is crucial! So, the following reasons have been summarized:

After the rubber refining is completed, there is no accurate cutting process, and the weight of the raw materials is not enough.

2. Lack of accurate mold testing during the product sampling stage, insufficient testing of the specifications, dimensions, and placement of raw materials, resulting in incomplete filling of the mold cavity with raw materials and insufficient glue!

3. After mixing, storing the raw materials for a long time leads to poor fluidity, failure of the curing agent, and inability to solidify normally!

4. There were no layout standards during the operation process. This situation usually leads to a shortage of raw materials occupying the main position, and the staff is not familiar with the product, resulting in inaccurate placement of raw materials, making it difficult to fully cover the edges and corners inside the mold.

When the pressure of the machine is too low, it is usually suitable for thick and small hole molds. Low pressure may lead to incomplete vulcanization, and reasonable pressure distribution should be made according to the product size!

6. The mold temperature is too high, and complex products have different structures and shapes. In high temperature environments, the compound has already solidified before filling the mold, which is due to the high temperature!

7. For products with complex dimensions and excessive demand for surface materials, the raw materials cannot be filled into the mold cavity, resulting in a shortage of materials. Different methods and techniques can be used to test the mold during the mold testing period, which is the simplest and most effective method!

Many factories have not fully controlled the shortage of silicone products, and the key lies in the accuracy of operators in the raw material processing process. Some silicone product manufacturers often have difficulty controlling the use of raw materials in the production process, resulting in uncontrollable weight of rubber materials, leading to problems such as long or short processing time, insufficient materials, rough edges, and difficulty in disassembly. Therefore, without planned production and processing, it is impossible to create high-quality silicone products, and regardless of controlling the weight of raw materials, it will lead to waste of raw materials, increase productivity, and cause the pain of the latter!
